Haryana staff selection commission conducts the Haryana Police Exam for Recruitment of Sub Inspector and Constable in Police Department. The examination is in offline mode and the exam is of 80 marks and the Other 20 marks are depends upon experience and socio-economic criteria. After the written test, Physical screening or measurements test is held which are Qualify in nature.  The exam is expected to be conducted from March - April 2020. However, the final date, time and venue will release on their official website and further mentioned on the admit card. This time there are 6000 constable vacancies out of which 5000 are for male candidates and 1000 are for female candidates and for sub-inspector there are 400 vacancies. Payscale for Constable is Rs. 21,700-69,100/- and for Sub-Inspector Rs. 35,400-1, 12,400/-


For Constable:-

  1. Students must pass 10+2 from a recognized Board/Institute.
  2. 10th with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the Subjects.
  3. Minimum Age - 18 Years.
  4. Maximum Age - 28 Years, as on 01/06/2019.

For Sub Inspector:-

  1. Students must pass a Graduate degree from a recognized University.
  2. 10th with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the Subjects.
  3. Minimum Age - 21 Years.
  4. Maximum Age - 27 Years, as on 01/06/2019.

Nationality: - Students must from India to apply for this exam.

HSSC Police Application Fees: -


  1. For General Category Male candidate INR 100/- and Female INR 50/-
  2. For SC/BC/EWS Male Candidate INR 25/- and Female Candidate INR 13/-
  3. Non- Resident Haryana Candidate  INR 100/-

Sub Inspector

  1. For General Category candidate INR 100/-
  2. For SC/BC/EWS Candidate INR 25/-

The mode of submission of application fees is online and students can fill their fees by Debit/Credit card/ e-challan in any branch of State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and IDBI Bank.

Physical Screening Test: -

This test will be qualifying in nature and there are no marks in PST. Only the candidate who qualifies the PST will allow taking part in further process.

  1. The Pattern of the exam is the same for Both Constable or Sub-inspector But the level of the exam is different. For Constable, the level of exam will be 12th Standard and for Sub-Inspector exam will be from the Graduate level.
  2. There is No Negative Marking.
  3. The medium of Exam in both Hindi/English Language.

HSSC selects students on the basis of written examination, experience, and socio-economic criteria. The written examination shall be divided into two portions, comprising: -

  1. 75% of the paper is from these sections: - General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, English, and Hindi.
  2. 25% of the paper is from these sections: - History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, and Culture of Haryana.

The remaining 20 marks for experience and socio-economic criteria are allotted on these factors:

If there is no family member of the aspirant as a father, mother, spouse, brothers, and sons was a regular employee in any Department/ Board/ Corporation/ Company/ Statutory Body/ Commission/ Authority of Government of Haryana or Government of India. (5 marks)


  1. If the applicant is a Widow.
  2. If the applicant's father had died before attaining the age of 42 years, or his father had died before the applicant had attained the age of 15 years. (5 marks).
  3. If the applicant belongs to Vimukt, Jatis, and Tapriwas, Jatis or Nomadic tribe of Haryana which is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class. (5 marks).


Half mark for each year out of a maximum of 16 years in any Department/Board/ Corporation/ Company/Statutory Body/Commission/Authority of Government of Haryana. If students have more than 6 months of experience they get half mark but no marks will be awarded for less than six months. (Maximum of 8 marks).

  3. Physical Screening Test.
  4. Inspection of Documents.
  5. Merit list.
  6. All Candidates who qualify the written exam or PST or inspection of Document then Final Merit List will be considered on the basis of Marks distribution:-

At the time of Verification of Documents, Candidates should bring their Original Documents with their self-attested copies.

Haryan Police Admit Card:-

The HSSC Haryana Police Admit Card will be provided to the candidates a week before the written test. The exam will be held in two shifts because a large number of students fill this form. The admit card for this recruitment will be released through the official website.

Haryan Police Exam Result:

HSSC will announce the result of HSSC Haryana Police on the basis of the candidate’s performance. The result will be either announced in PDF form or in the form of login. To check the result of HSSC Group C (if released in the form of login), the candidate must use their login credentials. Only those candidates who will be able to secure the minimum required cut off will qualify in the exam.
